About us
This website is run by Just Fireworks Bradford Limited, with its registered office at 492 Thornton Road Bradford BD8 9BS. Every order is picked, packed and dispatched from our licensed store, Thornton Road, 492 Thornton Rd, Bradford, BD8 9BS.
You can contact us by emailing info@just-fireworks.co.uk or through our contact page.
These terms apply to every order you place on this website. By placing an order you agree to them. They're written for people buying fireworks for their own personal use; if you're buying for a business, please contact us first.
Age and ID checks
You must be 18 or over to buy fireworks from us, including sparklers. When you order, you confirm that you are.
- We check photo ID on every delivery and every collection. Accepted ID is a passport, photo driving licence or PASS-accredited card.
- We will only hand fireworks to someone aged 18 or over who can show valid photo ID. We can't leave fireworks unattended, with a neighbour or in a safe place.
- If nobody suitable is available, we'll contact you to rearrange. If we can't rearrange, we'll cancel the order and refund what you've paid.
- It's a criminal offence to buy fireworks on behalf of someone under 18.
Placing an order
When you place an order we'll email you to confirm we've received it. Our contract with you starts when we send that confirmation email.
We may cancel an order, and refund you in full, if:
- a product is no longer available;
- there's an obvious mistake in a price or product description;
- your delivery address is outside our delivery area;
- we can't confirm that you're old enough to buy fireworks; or
- we have reason to suspect fraud.
If we find an obvious pricing mistake after you've ordered, we'll tell you and let you choose whether to go ahead at the correct price or cancel.
Product photos are for illustration and packaging can change. Shot counts, durations, heights and effects come from the manufacturer and are approximate; how a firework performs can vary with the weather and conditions.
Prices and payment
All prices are in pounds sterling and are the price you pay. We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is added. Any delivery charge is shown before you pay.
Ways to pay
- Card online — Visa, Mastercard or American Express. Card payments are handled securely by Worldpay; we never see or store your full card details.
- Pay on delivery — you pay when your order arrives. We'll phone you to confirm the delivery before it goes out.
- Pay on collection — you pay at our store when you collect.
Offers such as "buy one get one free" are applied automatically in your basket. Free items are added at no extra cost, while stocks last.
Delivery
We deliver within 30 miles of our Bradford store using our own van. We check your postcode during checkout, so you'll know straight away if we can deliver to you.
| Delivery option | Typical timescale | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Standard Delivery | 3-5 days | £10.00 |
| Next Day Delivery | Next day | £15.00 |
Delivery is free on orders of £250 or more. Delivery times are estimates rather than guarantees; we'll email you on the day your order is out for delivery.
Someone aged 18 or over with photo ID must be in to accept the delivery (see Age and ID checks). The fireworks become your responsibility once they've been handed over, and become yours once they've been paid for in full.
Click and collect
- Collect from Thornton Road, 492 Thornton Rd, Bradford, BD8 9BS. Opening hours are on our Our stores page.
- Please wait for our "ready to collect" email before coming in.
- The person collecting must be 18 or over, show photo ID and quote the order number.
- If you chose to pay on collection, we'll hold your order for 7 days. If it isn't collected by then we'll release it and email you to let you know.
Cancelling an order
If you'd like to cancel before your order has been delivered or collected, email us with your order number and we'll refund you in full.
You can also change your mind within 14 days of receiving your order. Because fireworks are explosives, they can't be sent back by post or courier — unused fireworks must be returned to our store in person. Full details are on our returns & refunds page.
Faulty or damaged fireworks
If something arrives damaged or a firework doesn't work as it should, tell us as soon as you can. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are explained on our returns & refunds page, and nothing in these terms affects them.
Using fireworks safely
You're responsible for using fireworks safely and within the law. In particular:
- Follow the instructions on every firework, and keep spectators back at least the safety distance printed on it.
- Category F3 fireworks need a large open space, with spectators at least 25 metres away. Make sure you have the room before you buy them.
- Don't let fireworks off between 11pm and 7am, except on Bonfire Night (until midnight) and on New Year's Eve, Diwali and Chinese New Year (until 1am).
- It's illegal to let off or throw fireworks in the street or other public places.
Our firework safety guide has much more advice.
Our responsibility to you
We're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We're not responsible for loss or damage that wasn't foreseeable, or that is caused by fireworks being stored, handled or used against their instructions, their safety distances or the law.
We supply fireworks for domestic and private use only, so we aren't responsible for business losses such as lost profit or business interruption.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law — including your statutory rights as a consumer.
Other important terms
- Events outside our control. If something beyond our reasonable control delays or prevents an order, we'll let you know as soon as possible. If the delay is significant you can cancel and we'll refund you.
- Changes to these terms. We may update these terms from time to time. The version shown here when you placed your order is the one that applies to it.
- If part of these terms doesn't apply. If a court decides part of these terms is invalid, the rest still applies.
- Complaints. If you're unhappy with anything, please contact us first and we'll do our best to put it right.
- The law that applies. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts there.
